How to play

  1. A whole new card is hidden under a grid each day (resets at midnight UTC).
  2. A few tiles start uncovered, plus the card's color as a free hint. The name strip stays blocked the whole game.
  3. Each wrong guess uncovers more tiles. You can also reveal a piece manually — but every reveal lowers your maximum score.
  4. Guess correctly while as little as possible is showing for the highest score (up to 1000), then share your result.

FAQ

How do you play the MTG card guessing game?
Each day a whole Magic: The Gathering card is hidden under a grid of tiles. Small pieces uncover as you go — mana cost, artwork and rules text — but the card's name stays blocked. Every wrong guess reveals more; identify the card while as little as possible is showing.
How is the score calculated?
The less of the artwork you've uncovered when you guess correctly, the higher your score (up to 1000 points). Each wrong guess or peek reveals more tiles and lowers the maximum score.
Is there a new puzzle every day?
Yes. Everyone gets the same daily card and tile layout, which resets at midnight UTC. There is also an unlimited practice mode with random cards.
Do I need an account?
No. Your streak, best score and stats are stored privately in your own browser. You can share your result with a single tap.
